About the role
| We’re looking for a skilled professional, with tertiary qualifications in journalism or mass communications as well as demonstrated substantial professional experience in planning and delivery of strategic communications. You’ll have experience crafting communications strategies, together with strong writing and storytelling skills, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, and a strong interest in and understanding of climate communications.
You’ll bring these skills and experience to our deep industry engagement as we showcase real-world examples of climate solutions in regional communities to influence decision-makers. Although not essential, the following skills, experience or knowledge would be useful for this role:

Beyond Zero Emissions is an independent think tank. Our optimistic and compelling solutions inspire industry, political decision-makers, and regional communities to accelerate climate action and turbo-charge Australia's shift to the zero-emissions economy.
For Australia to decarbonise and become a renewable energy superpower we’re building support for a nationally coordinated approach that’s in our individual, economic and national interests. This will reduce emissions and lock in long-term economic prosperity, and underscore the benefits of decarbonisation and create solutions for cities and regions currently economically-reliant on fossil fuels.
